Do you want to take centre stage in the Accounting & Reporting function of a leading Swiss PropTech startup?

We are seeking a German speaking Financial Accountant/Manager (60-80%) to run our internal accounting and financial reporting processes.

Tasks
- From day one, you will, alongside our external accounting and book-keeping support, be responsible for the day-to-day finance processes of our growing company. The initial focus will be on Accounting and the payables side of the business.
- Own the payables processes and month-end reporting and adjustments.
- Currently, commercial reporting and business planning is the focus of the VP Finance, over time and as needs of the business evolve, we see this role progressing to include these areas too.
- Become the key contact for reporting and finance matters to the co-CEO’s and senior management team, resulting in significant exposure across the business.
- Development and maintenance of a documentation of most important finance processes.
- Coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Report to the VP Finance.

**Requirements**:

- An organised approach to keeping the accounting and finance processes up to date, and working with the entire senior management team to close out open issues.
- A friendly face for the rest of the business to work with to deal with finance and accounting issues.
- Technical accounting knowledge to review or produce the monthly adjustments to properly account for our recurring revenue SaaS business.
- The interest and motivation to build a function that can scale and progress the business.
- Knowledge of swiss compliance timetable (Accounts closing, tax deadlines, MwSt filing, mandatory insurances).
- Experience running regular accounting processes (particularly with outsourced book-keeping) and monthly balance sheet & P&L closes is a strong plus.
- Fluent in German and English - we work in an English speaking environment.
- Experience of Abacus and working with external accounting services is a nice to have.
- Swiss, EU, or ability to work in Switzerland.
