Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

**Job Description**:

- Trade LNG cargoes with Atlantic basin market and participant with a focus on the spot trading activity (front 12 months horizon)
- Monitor and understand participant behaviours and market dynamics, including evaluation of physical arbitrage opportunities between different basins
- Identify risks & opportunities and formulate a view to the team
- Take ownership of existing flow and expand MET’s footprint where profitable
- Reach financial and physical targets (individual and collective)
- Engage with optimisation team to ensure physical transactions are scheduled to maximise portfolio value
- Manage end-to-end positions, liaising with operators, derivatives traders, middle and back office
- Coordinate and support origination activities for longer dated transactions in the Atlantic
- Lead front office negotiation of framework contracts and related documentation needed for physical LNG trading
- Work directly with chartering team to identify opportunities and ensure safe and optimised delivery of LNG between purchases and sales

**Qualifications**:

- 3-7 years working experience in LNG commodities trading or origination in a front-office capacity
- Experience in LNG and/or energy commodities trading,
- Strong network and sound reputation within LNG trading industry is a plus
- Entrepreneurial spirit able to build fruitful relationships with third parties
- Efficient worker with strong analytical skills and attention for details
- Numerical and able to identify value, synthetize and communicate well
- Motivated individual, able to work independently and with good team spirit
- Very strong understanding of entire LNG value chain from midstream to downstream
- Decisive, analytical, and self-motivated, comfortable with numbers and able to work under pressure
