The Lab Technician Biomechanics provides expertise and hands on experience in the field of medical device testing and test model development to support verification activities of newly developed products. He/she is a profound expert in the fields of biomechanics (implementation of new test models and concepts into standard operating procedures). Also he/she ensures an operational laboratory infrastructure (i.e. organization of maintenance and calibration of test equipment).
- Provide expertise in the fields of medical device testing and test model development to support verification activities of newly developed products
- Pro-active communication of results/knowledge with internal stakeholder
- Communicate and discuss the results with the biomechanics SME’s, research and product development.
- Prepare and perform tests according to internal protocol/SOP
- Prepare and perform product and material testing for the support of the product development process
- Development of test concepts (i.e. designing of test set-ups, development of new test methods based on biomechanical principles) to verify product requirements.
- Analysis of test results including statistical evaluations and compiling the results in test reports.
- Ensure an operational laboratory infrastructure (i.e. organization of maintenance and calibration)
- Review and optimize existing and implement / establish new SOP’s
- Ensure conformity of lab quality and maintenance system to SOP’s and standards
- Practical experience in conventional machining (milling, drilling and lathe machining)

**Critical Knowledge and Qualifications**:
- Experienced in the field of medical device testing and test model development
- Experience with being part of a interdisciplinary project team
- Knowledge in biomechanics / ISO Standards / GLP
- Is motivated by applied research on medical devices
- Experienced in the use of equipment to produce/modify setups and test samples (milling/drilling/turning)
- Experienced in the field of optical failure analysis

**Critical Experience**:
- “Dipl. Techniker/in HF/TS“ (or equivalent) degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or materials science.
- Experience with working in a regulated laboratory environment
- Fluent in German (spoken and written)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) as an asset
