**The opportunity**

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Intern to join the Applications team. In this role, you will contribute to the innovation process by supporting lab experiments, analyzing results, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance our technology. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of developing impactful solutions for water treatment.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Implement experiments to optimize and develop our treatment technologies in a variety of wastewater matrices.
- Conduct experiments to prototype various processes and assess their performance.
- Support execution of ongoing customer projects to ensure their successful completion.
- Assist in design and optimization of pretreatment techniques for our customers.
- Literature and market research for process development of innovative treatment solutions.
- Data analysis, presentation, and reporting of technical results.
- Assist on-site trials to assess process conditions on customer site.
- Assist in laboratories organization.

**Requirements**:
**What you need to bring to the role**
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Material Science.
- Understanding of reaction kinetics and experience with mathematical modeling is a plus.
- Experience in working in an organized manner to conduct R&D activities in chemistry laboratories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Experience with Python for coding and data analysis is a plus.
- Prior exposure to wastewater treatment techniques, e.g. advanced oxidation, disinfection, membrane filtration, adsorption processes, biological treatment etc., is a plus.
- Independent, analytical, and systematic way of thinking and working.
- Team-player and impact-driven person with passion for innovation.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Have a Swiss working permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland.
