We are looking for a Release and Environment Manager to join our team in Zurich.

**What you'll do**
The role owner is responsible to manage the Release Management processes for satellite systems, considering project (change) and business as usual demand. Along the daily operational and quite technical tasks this function asks for being able to answer many questions about the software change process.
The function is positioned within a team of 3 Release managers and 3 Unix Engineers which collaborates closely with Application Management, 3rd-party developers, Engineering, IT Operations, Avaloq Release Management and IT Test Management.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Analysis and resolving of specific technical issues (Performance, Stability)
- Project support (consulting)
- Change integration and release packaging
- Change and Release Deployment
- Analysis and Solution Development
- Support Test and Integration Management
- Support Tools and Operations Services (operation and/or development of own tools)
- Optimisation and Automation of processes
- Interface to 3rd Party Provider/Suppliers
**The skills you'll need**
To succeed in this role, you will preferably have a track record in release management, and be able to control and manage lifecycle of tasks and software development. Ideally, you will have a thorough understanding of Application Management and fundamental knowledge of Banking. You should also have proven experience with GIT /Jenkins as well as Artifactory as well as basic experience in handling Unix and Windows environments. We additionally expect you to have a degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent).
You will also:
- have good social grace in contact with various stakeholders, business and IT Developers
- have very good communication skills
- be solution and service oriented
- be a very strong team player with a positive attitude
- be able to work under pressure and take initiative
- be an analytical and structured, solution and service oriented person who takes ownership of their tasks
- be fluent in English (spoken and written) and German
