**Job Overview**:
**This entry level role is a 6-month contract position, offering 12 hours per week, spread across 3 days. Hours of the role can range from 9am-2pm.**

In the role of laboratory assistant, you will work with our team in Lausanne, Switzerland, and report to the Sr Manager, Coffee Quality.

**What you will do**:

- Responsible for the reception, registration, and codification of samples into the existing tracking systems and databases.
- Prepare and set up samples and rooms for sensory tasting events, dosing and grinding.
- Follow all safety protocols and general housekeeping practices. Ensures the area and its equipment and supplies are kept clean and organized daily or after work has been completed.
- Participate in the preparation and organization of extra calibration and training exercises, on-site and internal training sessions.
- Maintain Coffee Corner equipment and roasted coffee supply.

**Requirements**:
**In order to be successful, we are looking for someone who**:

- Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail, manage time, and to work independently.
- Ability to perform standardized work with repetitive tasks and motion.
- Proven organizational and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of the English language (written & spoken).
- Swiss nationality or holder of a valid Swiss work permit.
