**_The Role_**:
**Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a **coordinator for Oxfam International’s policy and advocacy on forced displacement in Geneva, focused on support to Oxfam’s partners (such as refugee leaders) to engage in global policy dialogues.***

The position will:

- Initiate and work with Refugee Lead Organisations and other national/ local NGOs on research for influencing agenda, policy and advocacy products, launch and dissemination; and will engage with relevant Geneva-based advocacy targets.
- Act as the liaison with Oxfam’s national and local partners (e.g. refugee activists/ refugee networks/ human rights defenders/ women’s rights activists) to create space in policy dialogue in Geneva. This includes setting up bilateral meetings with policy-makers, organising events, supporting development of talking points and other products, coordinating media and social media for partners.
- Lead Oxfam in Geneva’s work on forced displacement, coordinating inputs and developing products for global policy process on refugees and internal displacement.
- Represent Oxfam in policy discussions in Geneva on displacement, humanitarian and human rights issues when required.
- Provide technical advice and support to partners on how to engage in policy fora in Geneva.
- Coordinate development of partner-led research and policy products, including project management through the Oxfam publication process.
- Lead on internal and external communications of the work of OI in Geneva on humanitarian and displacement issues.

In addition:

- Be a demonstrated achiever in policy and advocacy, with experience delivering change in global policies.
- Strong research skills, ideally with Master or PhD or equivalent work experience writing external research publications.
- Experience influencing global policies on displacement
- Understanding of gender issues in emergency settings and commitment to gender equity
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure on fast-changing priorities
- Experience representing an organisation in external policy forums (ideally in Geneva)
- Experience mobilising a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly local actors, and co-designing policy and advocacy strategies.
- Track record of capacity building, working with local actors and co-designing research and policy publications.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Experience producing policy briefs, reports and/ or case studies.
- Excellent organizing skills and ability to project-manage events
- Experience in the humanitarian sector, ideally with overseas experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Desirable
- Experience in another UN language e.g. Franch, Spanish or Arabic
- Lived experience of displacement
