**PhD Position in AI and Pediatric Data Science**

**Your position**
Our group conducts research at the intersection of** artificial intelligence (AI)**and **pediatric healthcare**, developing AI and machine learning (ML) methods to address real-world clinical challenges. Our core research topics include but not limited to the following topics:
- Interpretability and explainability of AI models in clinical settings
- Multimodal data integration and prediction, including clinical, medical imaging, and sensor data (e.g. ECGs)
The PhD student will have the opportunity to conduct both methodological and applied research, contribute to publications and conference presentations, and participate in interdisciplinary activities within the BRCCH and the University of Basel.
**Your profile**
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong background in AI/ML methods
- Programming experience in Python and relevant frameworks (e.g. pytorch, weights&biases, high-performance cluster)
- Strong motivation, curiosity, and collaborative spirit
- Fluency in English
