**What you’ll do**
- The intern shall start with a literature overview of specific sensor technologies available for measuring critical attribute of human cells, and/or assessing non-viral techniques used for gene editing of human cells.
- The mission will be completed by down selecting to few technologies, prototyping a proof-of-concept, designing a verification and validation plan, and execute the plan in the lab.
- Alternatively, the project could be completed by the improvement and validation of one technology through iterative improvement and testing
- Hands on in the lab for assembling the test bench
- Hands on in the lab with cellular products for technology characterization
- Test plan verification & validation results shall be analyzed, documented and presented
**Who you are**
- University degree or in final year studies in scientific or engineering fields (bio engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering with a biological background, life science or equivalent).
- Experience with sensor technologies, with biological system (cell culture) or knowledge in non-viral gene transfer methods
- Lab experience in setting up experiments, connecting and manipulating sensors and performing hands on with bio-material
- Good know-how on using Solidworks and knowledge in instrumentation is a plus
- Willingness to learn along the way
- Team Player, Ownership, Detailed oriented
- Comfortable in English, French is a plus
**Duration and Deliverables**
- Project duration: 4 to 6 months
- Starting date: as soon as possible
