**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced **Business Intelligence Lead (Head of Data)** with deep architectural skills to lead the Data Strategy based on the company and business vision and needs. You will act as both a hands-on engineer and architect, collaborating closely with other leads, engineers, business expert to design, build, and scale high-quality, maintainable system. The role is based in **Lausanne or Zurich**, reporting to the COO.

**Key Responsibilities**

Design and maintain a scalable, compliant data infrastructure including our data warehouse, pipelines, governance, quality processes.

- Partner with business teams (product, marketing, sales, partnership, etc.) to identify and implement data-driven growth and product opportunities.

- Maintain and expand a single source of truth for business metrics and lead the further rollout of BI dashboards.

- Collaborate with IT to maintain and expand data quality, privacy and security standards across the organisation.

- Support leadership with strategic insights, forecasts, and data storytelling for investors and stakeholders.

- Explore and implement AI- and ML-based solutions to enhance product personalization and operational efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with Swiss and EU data protection standards in collaboration with our legal and compliance experts.

- Develop and execute the company's data strategy across products, operations and customer insights.

- In the future, this role can lead to build a cross-functional data team covering data engineering, analytics, and data science.

**Requirements**:
**Who we are looking for**

**Technical Skills**:

- 5+ years of experience in data leadership roles (Head of Data/BI, Lead Data Engineer, or similar), ideally in a SaaS or B2B2C environment.

- Strong technical foundation in data engineering, analytics, and cloud infrastructure, preferably Snowflake and MS Azure.

- Deep understanding of modern data stack tools, such as dbt, Airbyte or PowerBI.

- Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python.

- Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into data initiatives with measurable impact.

** Management & Leadership Skills**:

- Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Solid grasp of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

- Experience in scaling data platforms fast-growing organizations.

** Soft Skills**:

- High attention to code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

- Analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach.

- Passion for delivering high-quality, user-focused products.

- Ability to balance hands-on technical guidance with team leadership responsibilities.
