We are seeking a Head of HR - Austria and Switzerland (CHAT) to serve as a consultant to local management, assess and anticipate HR related needs of employees, and provide feedback to Centers of Excellence and Strategic HR Business Partners.

In this role you will formulate partnership across the HR functions (HR Governance / COE Talent and Recruitment; Learning and Development; Reward, Recognition and Mobility / Strategic HR Business Partners / Payroll and Service management) to deliver value-added service to managers and employees.

You will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. You will be a 'Change Agent' that can lead and manage the Country HR team (2 direct reports), support the country leadership team, and drive well-being activities.

You will:

- Function as local expert and responsible person for all legal /governance related topics in the respective country
- Act as a local HR partner for daily interaction with the business and people - Talent discussions, Development, Engagement, Trainings, Org development, Efficiency and Effectiveness, Communication
- Support management and employees in case of legal issues/ compliance/grievance
- Responsible for defining strategy for the Restructuring cases in CHAT. Restructuring ownership and E2E overview for the Social Plan/ Severance package governance, management, and execution for all restructuring topics
- Implementing Global/Pan-European employee relations projects and policies in CHAT while ensuring Legal compliance and governance
- Proactively manage CHAT local legal stakeholders such as government authorities, industry associations where applicable
- Manage team to run activities under the framework and directions with the COE teams
- Define tailor made needs for CHAT initiatives as per the Business needs, proactively discuss with HR Governance, COE and SHRBP
- Proactively inform the COE team of any legal changes which impact rewards, Benefits, resourcing, training and development topics (e.g. introduction of mandatory company pension scheme, mandatory salary increases, etc.)
- Provide local insights and inputs where required (e.g. supplier changes, package offers / benchmarking) as well as advising the business on reward topics

You will have:

- University Degree / (Bachelor or Master or similar Degree)
- Extensive HR experience, ideally with Employee Relations specialism
- Broad experience and knowledge of the Swiss and Austrian legal HR framework
- Experience in working with Employee forums
- Fluency in German and English
- Experience of working with and influencing Senior Management on HR issues in an international matrix organization
- Willing to travel when required including internationally (less than 10x / year)
