Head of Color

**In short**:
We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our Design Direction team as “Head of Color & Material Design Studio”. As the leader of a team of skilled designers, you will have the unique opportunity to co-create and shape the vision for the color and material strategy of our products across apparel, footwear and accessories, and make sure color flows and looks are coming to life from head to toe. Your close collaboration with cross-functional teams in within the product creation department, as well as leading, inspiring and nurturing your own team will be a crucial part of your day to day.

**Your Mission**:

- Lead, inspire and nurture the Color & Material Design Studio team
- Co-create the vision of color and material strategy for all categories across apparel, footwear and accessories and ensure a holistic head-to-toe look and communicate it effectively to team members and other stakeholders
- Ensure optimal alignment between the cross functional teams in product creation
- Spearhead and represent color and materials in front of key stakeholders across the company
- Further build out and scale the structure of the team with diverse talent that will shape and define the overall look of On in the future

**Your story**:

- +10 years of experience in Color and Material design, having had experience within footwear or apparel industry is a plus
- Strong leadership skills and experience with scaling and nurturing large, diverse teams (of 5+ designers)
- A strong portfolio that showcases your experience in any field of color & material
- Great consumer and community understanding
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive team culture that promotes wellbeing, trust, respect and collaboration
- Strong problem solving skills to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the Color & Materials Design Studio
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with a large team but also to drive Color & Materials Design Studio topics throughout the company and to deal with all kinds of stakeholders across R&D
- An entrepreneurial attitude, ambition, and willingness to take on challenges
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
