Lonza AG seeks an exceptionally driven Head of Manufacturing Unit to lead two aseptic filling lines, including compounding and visual inspection in Stein AG. This role plays a pivotal part in our ambitious growth strategy, ensuring the flawless end to end execution of sterile drug product manufacturing and filling.

What you’ll do:

- Lead a cross-functional team of Process Experts, Operators, and Technicians, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes (ca 5-7 direct reports with 50-60 reports in total).
- Coordinate two fill and finish lines for sterile drug products, including the Compounding part of the manufacturing process.
- Ensure all processes are completed on time, continuously improving in quality and efficiency, and strictly adhere to cGMPs, SOPs, EHS, and applicable guidelines.
- Coordinate the setup of new manufacturing processes or improve existing ones by providing scientific leadership.
- Maintain successful relationships with external customers, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standards.

What we’re looking for:

- A degree in life science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Broad background in end to end sterile drug product manufacturing and filling within a GMP-regulated setting.
- Proven experience as a leader of leaders.
- Proficiency in English and solid skills in German (minimum B2 level).
- Experience in functions outside of Production (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Finance) is a plus.
- Work experience in a CDMO is an advantage.
- Strong and audience-targeted communication style, learning agility, and flexibility. You are an advocate and a strong role model for our Lonza values including diversity and inclusion.
