**Most companies split product design into many different roles**: UX design, UI design, front-end development, and so on. At Voa Labs, it’s all one role. We believe the best designs come from someone who can see it all through, from ideas to design to the finished product.

That means our designers are generalists—excellent user experience designers, visual artists, front-end developers, and more. As a Product Designer at Voa Labs, you’ll be working on web and mobile interfaces.

Along with having great visual taste, you should be able to write HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript (but note: we don’t expect you to do all the implementation on your own. You’ll be paired with programmers on most projects). To thrive in this role, you should have 2+ years of product design experience under your belt, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the pace and variety of agency work.

Tasks
- Work with others to build innovative digital products from start to finish: through conception, research, UX design, UI design, and front-end implementation.
- Drive client presentations and discussions in the team.
- Respectfully challenge the status quo and push both clients and colleagues outside their comfort zones.
- Scope project requirements with clients.
- Help promote an inspiring and inclusive environment for the team.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of product design experience at a digital product agency or consultancy.
- Demonstrated mastery of UI/UX principles, best practices, and standard design tools (read: Figma). Bonus points for interaction design skills (After Effects, Principle, or Framer).
- Fully capable of writing modern HTML/CSS code. Bonus points for JavaScript/React skills.
- A portfolio that reflects your strengths in UX, UI, and front-end development skills.
- Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into simple UIs.
- Addicted to staying ahead of web and mobile best practices, developments, and trends.
- Communication pro, with the ability to deliver compelling design rationales in both client and internal contexts.
- An understanding of the business impact of what you're building. You're not just going after cool stuff—you understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Voa Labs is a fully remote company, and this is a remote job. We’re hiring from anywhere with at least 4 hours of overlap with the CEST time zone during a typical workday. If you prefer to work in an office, you can work in our office space in Zürich.

Voa Labs was founded in 2020. We are a digital product studio that transforms ideas into incredible digital products. We partner with everyone, from tiny web startups to experienced enterprises, to help them build products that are simple, delightful, and easy to use.
