BAT SWITZERLAND IS LOOKING FOR A PROCUREMENT INTERN

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Indirect Procurement Function under the supervision of the Swiss Procurement Business Manager. The scope of the role covers multiple company fields and supports a variety of departments and functions including commercial and operations business units.

The Procurement intern will be responsible for:

- Supporting the Procurement Business Manager and contributing to achieving procurement targets, delivering sourcing activities, assisting contract negotiations while embedding and implementing new ways of working including digital tools in order to ensure business compliance and high standards of governance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Managing sourcing activities in line with globally agreed standards, ways of working and policies (from the market screening to the contract establishment)
- Contributing actively and support the delivery of procurement targets (e.g., procurement savings & payment terms) and internal reporting
- Providing time effective and thorough support to the departments for supplier management & review meetings.
- Participating in supplier performance assessment, Key Performance Indicators evaluation and elaboration of action plans required.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance to the Procurement Policy and high standards of business governance
- Embedding new ways of working including digital tools
- Dealing with other end-markets within the Central European North Area and develop and maintain knowledge exchange and best practices
- Provide support to Procurement Business Manager to embed ESG agenda

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration or finance
- Excellent command of written & spoken English & French
- Use of Microsoft Office programs
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills and capability to manage stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous working or internship experience
- Swiss or European citizenship or Swiss work permit
