**Role Purpose**:
The Accountant plays a key role in supporting the finance team by taking care of day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, travel expense processing and accounts receivable invoice finalization. This position ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies while contributing to accurate financial reporting and efficient administrative support.

In addition to reconciling corporate credit card statements and assisting with month-end closings, the Accountant helps maintain the integrity of financial data across systems. As the organization evolves, it is expected that the Accountant will take on expanded responsibilities, contribute to process improvements and support strategic financial initiatives that enhance operational performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Accounts Payable:

- Scan, review, and process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls
- Prepare and book weekly payment runs in accordance with financial schedules
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status

Travel & Expenses:

- Scan, review, and process employee Travel Expense reports in line with corporate travel policies
- Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for employees - especially newcomers - on travel expense regulations
- Provide guidance and support to employees on all Travel Expense-related topics
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel processes and systems (e.g. CWT procedures)
- Scan, review, and reconcile corporate Credit Card Statements with submitted receipts
- File and organize Travel Expense documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Accounts Receivable:

- Posting of customer invoices and sending to the Customer or uploading into Customer’s portal
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely invoicing

Banking & General Ledger:

- Book Bank Cash Entries and prepare corresponding Journal Entries in the General Ledger
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent (degree in accounting or finance is preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting support role, with exposure to AP, AR, and travel expense processes
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic finance environment
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
