Limiting global warming to 1.5°C implies reaching net zero CO2 emissions in 2050 according to the IPCC. Next to substantially reducing emissions, this target will only be possible by globally deploying carbon removal (CDR) solutions at the scale of billions of tons of CO2.

Neustark is a leading provider in this rapidly growing field, having developed a solution to permanently store CO2 from the air in recycled mineral waste such as demolished concrete. Founded in 2019 in Switzerland, our first solutions have been deployed in Switzerland and Europe and are already capturing and storing tons of CO2 every week. We are currently scaling up our operations and carbon removal impact globally - on the road to removing one million tons of CO2 in 2030, and beyond that.

We’re a team of around 45 people based in Berne and with a hub in Zurich. Together, we enable permanent CO2 storage for a bright future of all generations on our planet.

**What your future team does**:
In our business development team, we are responsible for laying the foundations for neustark's ambitious growth plans. We develop new geographic markets and bring new products to market. We monitor and shape the political landscape and work closely with our sales, research and communications teams to strategically develop the carbon removal market and neustark as a key player in it.

**What your job could look like**:

- Identify, research and prioritize public funding opportunities in Europe and, in the future, in the USA.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and other funding partners.
- Manage the reporting and compliance requirements associated with funding agreements, gathering and consolidating input from various internal stakeholders.
- Closely monitor the implementation of funded projects to ensure that all funding requirements are met, and project timelines are on track.

**What we’re looking for**:

- University degree, PhD preferred.
- Experience in securing public funding from the European Union (EU) and, if possible, Switzerland, with a particular emphasis on renewable and/or climate projects.
- Alternatively, experience in crafting proposals within the consultancy industry, preferably in the renewable and/or climate tech sector.
- Driver mindset with flair for project management and communicating concisely across target groups.
- Proficient in English and German.
