**Your mission**:
LAND is a new EPFL laboratory that focusses on research issues relating to the coordination and moderation of different spatial demands on landscapes in terms of sustainable development. In addressing various questions of landscape change and future development, we pursue a holistic understanding of landscape as an interplay of natural and anthropogenic factors. Our work is characterised by inter
- and transdisciplinary approaches and working at different scales and planning levels.
The future Postdoc/Senior Researcher will support us in developing innovative approaches for liveable, sustainable and climate resilient landscapes and cities by integrating social science and socio-economic aspects into landscape planning and the planning and design of green spaces.

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- Conducting original research in the field of landscape development with a focus on social and socio-economic aspects and urban areas
- Research in collaboration with the research team, the ENAC faculty, and potential stakeholder partners
- Contribute to broad lab activities (including supervision of PhD and MSC-students)
- Teaching in the areas of participatory methods/processes and the integration of social science aspects into urban and spatial development

**Your profile**:

- An excellent PhD degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Human Geography or Landscape Planning/Development
- Experience in and high commitment to inter
- and transdisciplinary research
- High level of performance based on independent conceptual and scientific work
- Excellent communication and moderation skills, including visualisation, creativity, organisational skills and openness as well as intercultural competence
- Experience in writing proposals and teaching
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of German and French is an advantage
