General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship):
- Support project/study activities and interact with project/study teams to ensure that all data, documentation, and information required fully align with study targets
- Creating / refreshing / updating / maintaining assigned SharePoint folders
- Support maintenance of the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF); Supporting QC reviews of documents and assisting with issue resolution
- Support with CTMS data entry
- Tracking project/study progress and producing reports and status metrics
- Scheduling, tracking, and assisting with meeting management tasks; creating post meeting summaries
- Perform other duties as assigned within Clinical Operations or other departments
Essential Functions of the Internship:
- Gain insight into the responsibilities of various roles in Clinical Operations and other departments in Basel, understand the importance of ICH-GCP and how Clinical Studies are managed
- Gain insight in differences across countries in region Europe for management of clinical trials. Get insights in different tools and systems used for daily management of clinical trials
- Provide ongoing support to study teams by becoming familiar with the day-to-day operations and the clinical trials currently being conducted.
- Perform other support tasks as assigned in accordance with the SOPs, regulatory agencies and ICH-GCP guidelines.
Education Required:
Undergraduates, Masters or PhD students in a scientific, medical, or healthcare discipline
Computer Skills: Computer literate on Microsoft Office package. Anything in addition is a plus.
Other Qualifications:
- Availability to work full-time, for 10-12 weeks during summer period
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational, time management and communication skills
- Language: Advanced English
