**What You Can Expect**:
For the European Headquarters, based in Zug (Switzerland), we offer an innovative and challenging Internship in Government Affairs. The Zimmer Biomet Government Affairs team is developing and leading public affairs strategies to drive Zimmer Biomet’s positioning on a global level. As Government Affairs Intern, you will actively contribute to the development of different government affairs strategies to foster internal and external decision-makers’ understanding, appreciation and consideration of relevant insights to their development of public and corporate policy. You will be responsible for mapping policies and partners and supporting the team in relationship management and alliance building with the goal of shaping a policy environment favourable to a sustainable healthcare system in Europe.

**How You Create Impact**:

- Analyzing and moniting policy developments on Environment, Social and Governance, Digital and Artificial Intelligence Policy in Europe
- Conducting effective research on political and policy developments and ensure correlation between advocacy activities and business priorities
- Creating and improving content for position papers, briefings and presentations on key topics for use with internal and external audiences
- Supporting the development and implementation of policy engagement plans

- Highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with demonstrated ability to deliver results within strict time constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility with both external partners and internal stakeholders at all levels of the Company including executive leadership and professional partnerships.
- Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Any other European language is considered as an asset

**What Will Make You Successful**:

- Actively engaged in higher education (Bachelor, Master or PhD), ideally in Public Policy, Political Sciences, Legal, Environmental Sciences, Data Sciences or similar
- Proficiency in English
- Demonstrated interest in public policy issues and the European Union political process.
- Demonstrated research skills employing various information management platforms to develop appropriate position recommendations.
- Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, with an ability to handle sensitive material with tact and confidentiality; operates with a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion and judgment.
