Finance Internship Power BI Data Scientist

**What are we looking for?**
**Main Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with finance teams to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Implement data models and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial systems.
- Develop predictive models and perform advanced data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to streamline reporting workflows.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI solutions to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
- Provide training and support to finance team members on the use of Power BI and other data analytics tools.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization.
**Qualifications and Profile**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with finance teams and other stakeholders.Knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and regulatory requirements is a plus
