Sound Acquisition and Directionality Researcher (limited for 10 months)

With these 10 months (**from 03 till 12/2025**) you will work in a multi-disciplinary team in Sonova’s Research & the Development department contributing and/or driving functional innovation in the domains of audiological and fitting performance and audiological methods. You will contribute to platform development, system integration, optimization, and parametrization of hearing performance solutions in hearing devices.

**Your tasks**
- Feasibility and design studies for new acoustic solutions
- Understanding the limiting factors of current and future designs through systematic analysis of measurements and simulations
- Support to other engineering teams with your technical knowledge
- Consolidation of solutions with internal stakeholders
- Contribute in cross-functional development teams
- Collaboration with external scientific partners

**Your profile**
- University degree in Acoustics, Applied Physics, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience in structuring and planning of applied research projects (in acoustics is a plus)
- Skilled in writing of engineering reports
- Knowledge and experience in at least 3 of the following:

- Using electrical and acoustic test and measurement equipment (Rohde&Schwarz, B&K, LMS, MLSSA)
- Modelling with Spice, BEM, FEM or Multibody dynamics simulation
- Electroacoustic transducer design
- Digital audio signal processing
- Statistical data analysis
- Analytical, networked thinking, independent and proactive way of working, customer orientation and strong ability to work in a team
- German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
