Junior Legal Counsel

For our global legal and compliance team based in Volketswil (ZH) we are looking for a

**Junior Data Protection Legal Counsel (80-100%)**

to support our Data Protection Legal Counsel on maintaining and developing the La Prairie Data Protection Programme for our luxury brand around the world and ensure compliance with applicable Data Protection Laws.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Assess new data processing activities and provide legal advice to internal stakeholders (e.g. CRM, HR, IT) in the HQ and affiliates worldwide.
- Negotiate Data Processing Agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Maintain and develop the GDPR inventory.
- Conduct Data Protection assessments (e.g. DPIA, PIA, etc..) in collaboration with Cybersecurity.
- Manage Data Subject Requests.
- Draft/update Data Protection policies, consent declarations, etc...
- Replace existing Standard Contractual Clauses and conduct Transfer Impact Assessments.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels on specific projects.
- Support the implementation of the Data Protection Programme in affiliates outside EU/CH.
- Keeping up to date on legal developments and enforcement trends and assess their impact on the La Prairie group companies.
- Implement new IT solutions for Data Protection processes.
- Develop guidance, awareness and training on Data Protection.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Around 3 years of experience managing a Data Protection Programme or advising on Data Protection matters in an international corporation or law firm. Experience in a consumer-facing business is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in law from a Swiss or EU university. Further education on Data Protection is an advantage.
- Deep knowledge of Data Protection Laws, specially the GDPR. Knowledge of other related Data Protection laws around the world (e.g. PIPL (China), CCPA (California)) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and to solve problems.
- Proactive and curious with an ability to deliver strong results in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams in on-site and remote locations, in an engaged, business-focused and pragmatic manner.
