Snr Legal Director Deliver

Our Law Department is recruiting for a **Legal Director, Deliver & Procurement - EMEA & APAC**. The Supply Chain, Real Estate, Procurement, Technology legal team (“SCRPT”) is a team responsible for providing cross-sector legal support to our Enterprise Supply Chain (including the Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability, Engineering & Property Services and Deliver groups), the Procurement organization (across all categories and including support for Supplier Contracting Services), and the Technology organization.

Our team’s mission is to deliver strategic counsel and transactional excellence to these business partners, while mitigating risk, maintaining highly effective partnerships and upholding consistency in legal practices and standards. You will support Procurement and Deliver initiatives and will closely collaborate with Law Department colleagues and business partners on related transactions and support, as well as quality, regulatory and sustainability issues.

**Your Major Duties & Responsibilities**
- Leading, developing, and coaching a tiered legal team comprised of attorneys and professional associates located across EMEA and in APAC, empowering them to act confidently and autonomously;
- Promoting a global and Enterprise-wide mindset, helping the team to thoughtfully balance the need for global standards with local/regional requirements;
- Anticipating and assessing future business needs, team capabilities and resource gaps, to ensure organizational readiness;
- Manage, draft and negotiate complex procurement related agreements across a wide range of procurement categories (including technology, HR and professional services, and logistics services), and coordinate similar activities across the EMEA and APAC region in collaboration with other Johnson & Johnson attorneys;
- Provide strategic legal counsel to the EMEA Procurement, and in support of the regional or global Deliver teams, including senior management, including the development, risk assessment and execution of complex projects;
- Provide legal advice on contracts, help ensure that agreements meet business needs, comply with Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures, and that legal risks have been properly identified, assessed and mitigated.

- Manage outside counsel relationships, workflow and budget

- Actively participate in the Global Logistics Procurement Leadership Team, to define and deliver global sourcing and contracting strategies and support models, and counsel that team on emerging risks and mitigations;
- Contribute to the enterprise strategy for, and the support of key projects related to, distribution and logistics operations, including providing strategic counsel to key Deliver leaders

This position requires at least 12 years of significant experience managing, drafting and negotiating sophisticated projects and agreements, preferably in-house at a multi-national corporation, or at a large or mid-sized law firm, with demonstrated excellent results, and preferably in the healthcare industry. This should include experience negotiating agreements in procurement, technology services, HR or logistics services.

Proven track record to shape complex global programs and orchestrate their implementation in a matrix organization is required;
Strong ability to design, develop and lead strategic and process improvement initiatives;
An ability to support multiple complex transactions and projects simultaneously is required;
Positive attitude, high emotional intelligence and the ability to work independently and effectively in a complex and sometimes ambiguous corporate environment is required;
Self-starter with a strong drive for results and a strong sense of ownership, but also good self-awareness and a willingness to take direction;
Fluency in English with the capability of drafting contract terms and conditions in English.
