Purpose

The Social Media Manager volunteer works closely with the women++ marketing team to create engaging content for women++’s social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new digital avenues and ways of connecting with audiences (NL).

As part of the women++ team, your ideas and development are key Get to know the whole team and start discussing interesting topics around diversity & inclusion.

This is a volunteering position
- Time commitment: Around 1hr/day or 5hrs/week
- Location: remote, home working

Tasks

What you will be doing

You will be in charge of our social media presence, collaboration with the marketing team and CEO.
- Oversee the social media strategy
- Create a social media calendar and oversee/help implementation
- Monitor community interactions
- Help organise and promote events (webinars)

How your role will develop in the first months

**Within three months you will be doing some of**:

- Receive an overview of women++ by the CEO + direct training on your role to enable your independence & own voice.
- Be involved in different projects from a Marketing perspective
- Help create and maintain a social media strategy for 2021
- Have bi-weekly meetings with the marketing team to discuss all social media topics.

**Within six months you will be doing some of**:

- Develop and manage content for social media channels working together with the content creator/ marketing team to optimize written content.
- Reach & engagement growth: setting, working towards, and reporting on social media objectives and targets.
- Ensure that communication reaches a wide range of local stakeholders and diverse audiences: Building awareness of women++’s work locally, and through relevant networks.
- Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward: test content and review its impact.
- Get involved in specific projects on a strategic level regarding marketing campaigns.

**Requirements**:
What we look for

**First of all**: We believe in maximizing potential through training, learning and attitude. So, even if you think you don’t have all the relevant experience, but are interested in social media marketing, you may still be the perfect person for this role. Overall, we look for:

- Commitment to diversity, interest in new technologies and the tech industry
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English, German is a plus.
- Experience in growth marketing, social media management and community management areas desirable
- Ownership mentality, proactivity, reliability
