Translational Pkpd

Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Translational PKPD & Clinical Pharmacology Scientist to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on discovering new remedies and diagnostics.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For the role of Translational PKPD & Clinical Pharmacology Scientist, you will be accountable for the scientific features of clinical pharmacology study protocol development, involving protocol synopsis, consent form, eCRF and protocol amendments.
- Manage the assessment of clinical pharmacology data (pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety), interrelating as needed with operational staff and investigators, Data Management, Biostatistics and other partners.
- You will be directing the ongoing analysis of study data (e.g. PK, PD and safety) and assess data outputs for scientific and medical legality and regularity.
- Support the formulation of the clinical pharmacology factor of the project specific Investigators Brochure.
- As the Translational PKPD & Clinical Pharmacology Scientist, it is your responsibility to be present at and offer science support for investigator meetings and supervise workshops.
- You will run the safety evaluation of clinical pharmacology studies and add to serious adverse event (SAE) settlements and SAE accounts.
- The key scientific individual liable for writing final study reports.

**Requirements**:

- For this role, you will have obtained a MSc, a Pharm D or a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology sciences (having a Post Doc will be considered).
- At least 2+ years of experience in an industry location (preferably in Pharma) backing clinical pharmacology studies, NCA data analysis, related DMPK analysis, regulatory filings and medical writing.
- Prior experience / operating knowledge of a number of methods to PK and PD data analysis: compartmental, curve-fitting, non-compartmental.
- You will have acquired past experience using these softwares: Phoenix; WinNonlin; (as well as Microsoft & Google Suites).
- A Translational PKPD & Clinical Pharmacology Scientist will have clinical research experience, within the pharmaceutical industry, which is preferred, through familiarity with ICH GCP and the drug development procedure.
- Prior experience of functioning on, and preferably managing a team matrixed around the scientific and/or clinical study-related responsibilities.
- Operative teamwork and social skills (globally, internally and externally) involving training and mentoring.
- Solid, efficient verbal and written communication/presentation skills in the English language.
- You exhibit creativity, critical thinking, initiative and conscientiousness.
- Capable of processing information, analyse data.
- Knowledge of Spotfire would be advantageous, but not essential to the role.
- Able to operate in a matrix structure for project.
- You are able to represent function on team(s); reply to basic protocol questions and process matters.
