**The Role**

You’ll have an opportunity to work in a multicultural environment across the Markem-Imaje organization, you will interact with Project Managers, System Engineers, Quality, Marketing, Sourcing departments, and others throughout the organization for high value integrated solutions. You will run various, cutting-edge instrumentation and provide data and recommendations for the next steps based on the results.

**What you will do**:

- Manage a dedicated and skilled chemist team including MSc and PhD employees.
- Commit on delivery and anticipate next steps for prototypes, formulations, resources, suppliers, third partiescoordinate with other Markem-Imaje functions.
- Support Intellectual Property strategy, and coordinate regulation & product compliance with relevant Markem-Imaje departments.
- Communicate projects status with appropriate media (notes, reports, presentation ).
- Support the business development team for roadmap definition and for the marketing/technical documentation creation.
- Comply with Markem-Imaje Environmental Health and Safety Policy.
- The position requires some travels in Europe (rarely in US).

**What you need to have**:

- PhD or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Rheology, Fluid mechanic.
- Minimum of 5 years of inkjet industrial experience (or printing industry).
- Fluent in English is a must. Good level in French and/or German is preferred.
- Basic programming skills will be additional assets (i.e MATLAB, DoE; Python,).
- Enthusiastic and passionate about technology, with strong technology culture.
