Europe Engineering Operations Manager

**Europe Engineering Operations Manager**:
Aurora Swiss Aerospace is currently home to 30 full-time employees, and our team is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual for the position of Europe Engineering Operations Manager located at our Luzern office.

**Specific Responsibilities**:
As the Europe Engineering Operations Manager, they will be responsible for various tasks in an exciting and dynamic “start-up” like environment. Responsibilities will include:

- Support the Aurora Flight Sciences engineering leadership (U.S) and Aurora Swiss Aerospace Managing director with corporate and in-region initiatives relevant to improve and optimize our engineering operations.
- Leadership link between Aurora and other European / Global Boeing engineering groups to ensure their adequate integration to our programs and efficient communication flow in support of successful program execution across multiple time zone/international locations. They will be expected to lead across different engineering disciplines (structure, mechanical, etc.).
- Lead for Aurora’s engagement in R&D projects in Europe with entities such as Boeing Research & Technology Europe as well as other in-region universities and institutions including R&D internal reviews & proposal support.
- Provide engineering support and technical expertise to the international business development team for European initiative calls and joint undertaking engagement (CleanSky, SESAR 3, etc.)
- Coordination between Aurora and our European contingent workforce management partner(s) including, but not limited to existing contingent labor staff management, job requisition, support interview & selection, onboarding process management, coordination with technical leads & program office for charge code, etc.
- Support program office with establishment and tracking of internal & external service agreements to allow engineering work to flow to the appropriate charge codes and maintain compliance with required accounting practices.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to those less experience members of the team.
- Identify cross-disciplinary training opportunities and needs, and coordinate with appropriate resources to implement.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of experience (functional and people) in the field of aerospace.
- Solid relationship management skills, with experience of achieving through influence not authority.
- Ability to synthesize business needs, operational requirements, engineering elements, and technology inputs, etc. into data driven business solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple topics and projects in a fast-paced environment and deal with different stakeholders (internal and external) from different domains in the organization.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment and foster a strong collaborative spirit.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to present and communicate to partners.
- Results-driven, take initiative and ownership to accomplish work.

**Desired Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in aerospace engineering and/or business management
- Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages would be a significant advantage.

**Physical Requirements**:

- This position will be based at our Aurora Swiss Aerospace office in Luzern, Switzerland.
- This position may require up to 25 % domestic and international travel.
