Then you might be interested in an exciting intern position in our team Risk Engineering Services (RES) team in Zurich. What we expect from you: - Bachelor or Master degree in an engineering discipline. - Technical understanding of construction projects/methods. - Powerful analytical, written and verbal communication skills - Team player, curious and flexible personality - Ability to work independently - Passion to work in an international and diverse environment - Proficiency in English; other languages are an advantage **About the role** Swiss Re is seeking a highly motivated intern who is supporting the global Risk Engineering Services "Property" team in a researching project for price evaluation of power plant main equipment, such as various types of turbines, generator, transformers, boilers, compressors, auxiliaries, etc. Primary we will set our focus on renewable power plants like hydro, wind and solar energy. Your tasks include but are not limited to: - Deep dive into renewable energy - technology, equipment, evaluation and insurance claims; - Search through existing RES data and compile cost vs capacity curves; - Analyse and evaluate submission data; - Provide support for all Risk Engineering Services related activities such as global risk assessment. **About the team** Risk Engineering Services "Property" is an international team with global remit in Swiss Re's P&C Center. Our task is to understand technical and scientific developments and put them into an insurance context. We conduct risk assessments, develops methodologies, and tools to support the underwriting of portfolio steering, risk evaluation and loss estimates. Our team has a broad range of different technical and scientific backgrounds and experience. Our excellent technical expertise is complemented by a strong team spirit. The internship lasts **4 months** starting in **September/October** and will be based in **Zurich**.
