Accounts Payable Accountant

Location: Root D4, CH, 6039Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.

To be based in Krakow, Poland we are looking for a:
**Account Payable Accountant**

We are seeking a self-driven, enthusiastic individual who will be a pioneer in supporting our European business in our brand new global financial services organization based in Krakow; Novocure Poland. In this role you will be accountable for posting all European supplier invoices and travel expense reports and be a core employee interacting with the operational department and will report directly into our Senior Director of Finance.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Being responsible for matching supplier invoices to authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receipt
- Review all economical supplier discounts (if applicable)
- Following up on all invoices for appropriate approval
- Accountable for entering all supplier invoices into SAP (FI/CO module)
- Providing information on all expense reports
- Processing procurement card payments
- Incorporating all applicable supplier credits into payments made
- Acting as a main point of contact for employee, Consultants and vendor inquiries regarding payments
- Assisting the team in month end closing
- Partaking in continuing process improvement projects across our European team

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting
- Fluency in English and a good level of German is required
- French or any other European languages would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP Systems, SAP preferred
