**Presentation of the Institute**:
The Geneva Graduate Institute, founded in 1927, is a world-renowned center of excellence for the study of international relations and development. Located in Geneva, Switzerland, the Institute offers a stimulating, multicultural and interdisciplinary academic environment. It offers masters and doctoral programs, and conducts cutting-edge research on major global challenges.

**The role**:**

As the Head of Student Services, you lead its collaborators and manage projects of a multi-dimensional nature.

Guided by a spirit of collective intelligence, you work closely with different internal and external partners to achieve the Institute’s ambitious goals.

**Key responsibilities**:**
- Ensure policies and strategies are implemented by the relevant departments and actors.
- Develop the Service’s strategic guidelines.
- Guarantee a warm welcome and excellent follow-up for every student.
- Ensure the promotion and management of the Institute’s programs.
- Develop the visibility, accessibility, consistency and clarity of the information provided to students, future students and the Institute’s wider community.
- Collect data for various activities and produce relevant reports and analysis.
- Lead the service in a fair and motivating manner, particularly with a view to developing its main areas of activity: admissions, recruitment, student support, program management.
- Work closely and cooperatively with different internal and external partners.
- Ensure and develop team performance in accordance with management practices and the Institute’s values.
- Develop a healthy and stimulating work environment, and manage occupational well-being.
- Manage the budget of the Service.

**To be successful in this role, you should have**:**- Master degree or equivalent.- Additional management training or equivalent is required.- 15 years of professional experience in management and administration, with at least 5 years in an academic institution, and ideally in an international environment.- At least 5 years of team management experience.
- Committed to service, you excel at developing interpersonal relations and communication.
- You have a recognized expertise in management and a deep sense of responsibility.
- You have sound judgement and diplomatic skills to interact effectively with a large variety of stakeholders (students, collaborators, professors, heads of service and directors).
- Strongly committed to offering quality services to the students, you are able to find solutions, propose initiatives, and lead by example.
- Aware of on-going professional transformations, you are interested in guidance on new ways of working (including through digitalization).
- Stimulated by numerous challenges and a varied and heavy workload, you are open-minded, resilient and optimistic, and lead with determination and enthusiasm the different activities and projects throughout the academic calendar.
- You are perfectly fluent in French and English (spoken and written).- Proficient with Microsoft Office.- At ease with new technologies.- Excellent with figures and data analysis.
