**EINFÜHRUNG**:
As a preferred supplier for Roche Basel, we are looking for an individual as

**pCMC Chemist**:
(contract for 1 year, with possible extension). The earliest start date is within 2-3 months.

**AUFGABENBESCHREIBUNG**:

- You will be part of a team of process research, scale-up & supply chemists, purification and analytical sciences experts
- Supporting a diverse portfolio of small molecule, peptides and nucleic acid discovery projects.
- Develop synthetic routes for small molecules suitable for early toxicological and clinical phase I campaigns.
- Be accountable for the scientific and technical excellence of the work performed within your area of responsibility.
- You stay abreast of developments and trends pertinent to small molecule process R&D and supply.
- Attend relevant conferences, build strong internal and external relationships to maintain a strategic understanding of the process R&D technology environment and recommend priorities.

**ERFORDERLICHES PROFIL**:

- PhD in organic synthesis
- 3 or more years of experience in small molecule chemical process R&D ideally in Pharma industry
- Fluency in English is a must
- Creative thinking. You are curious and passionate about scientific and technical innovation. You can quickly learn and adapt your thinking to complex and evolving environments.
- Ability to guide the work of others and operate in agile teams. You can lead and motivate others, as well as prioritize and coordinate their work through to successful outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional teaming skills: you have an inclusive and collaborative way of interacting. You demonstrate good communication skills that enable you to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.

**Nice to Haves**:

- Knowledge in German is of advantage.
- Experience in using automated lab reactors is an advantage.
