Global Esi Operations Lead

The External Supply Integration (ESI) Global Operations Lead is globally accountable to oversee all CMO manufacturing commercial relationships and ensure reliable operations to defined performance measures. Through this role and their team, the incumbent will be responsible for the commercial supply of all value stream operations, including fill and finish, packaging and drug substance external manufacturing. The role will be responsible for more than 10 to 15 operational CMO sites supporting high quality, right first time and reliability targets of CSL flagship products such as Hizentra, Idelvion and Zemaira.

The role will support the development of strategies and elevate the operational performance of critical external E2E operational networks globally. The jobholder will manage key operational relationships to support delivery of CSL’s long term growth strategy.

The role is also responsible for oversight and leadership of commercially active partnerships for fill, finish, visual inspection and packaging and drug substance manufacturing across the End to End Operations to ensure they are aligned to CSL’s strategy and receive proactive management. The role will work within and continuously improve the External Supply Operating Model governance as it pertains to operational business. The role will continuously strive to establish CSL Behring as a valued customer in the contract manufacturing and external services business environments. You will lead and work with a team of peers representing a broad range of functions, both global and regional, to ensure consistent delivery to best practices.
**Your main responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
**Provides leadership of all commercially operating partnerships to world class quality and reliability measures**:

- Sets objectives & KPI’s expectations early in the relationship and provides clear direction for assigned partnerships. Is responsible for receiving high quality and stabilised operational relationships from ESI tech transfer teams, assigning responsibility to team members and for driving ongoing year on year reliability, quality and yield improvements.
- As global leader of the operations team the role will be accountable to deliver high performance and excellence from the various partnerships
- Ensures that critical supply chain interfaces between the partners and CSL are established and that information related to planning, quality and supply requirements are clear and transparent within CSL and the partner organization
- Is a significant contributor to the global ESI team and its strategies
**Provides leadership of a ‘virtual plant operations team’ to provide the necessary oversight to deliver reliably**:

- Leads a matrixed senior management team comprised of quality, finance, sourcing and supply chain to oversee, govern and drive operational excellence at the CMO’s as well as CSL in the sending or receiving site capacities.
- Provide operational status reporting according to the ESI governance requirements and develop risk mitigation actions to keep or elevate CMO performance to at least the minimum expected level
**Works within** management systems that deliver compliant, sustainable performance and value in defined external supply relationships**
Work within the governance of the External Supply Operating Model and:

- Drive the performance of CSL’s CMO network to best in class quality, right first time and reliability targets.
- Provide contract and business risk management and where possible, independently be responsible for issue escalation and resolution within the CMO business hierarchy
- Contract account management including business review meetings and joint steering committees
- Establishment & delivery of KPIs for costs, quality, sustainability which drive business significant improvements for responsible unit operations
**Leads alliance management for commercially operational relationships**
- Aligns to the alliance management strategy of ESI and uses leading practices in the management of strategically important and high value external operational relationships
- Proactively raises potential partnership issues, within internally and externally, and where possible independently acts to resolve

Qualifications, skills and experience_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, or technical field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience including 5 years’ leadership in multi-location environments, leading technical
- 12 years' supply chain experience including management in multi-location environments, supervising technical specialists /cGMPs and GDP
- Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical best practices
- specialist working under Standard operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Strong knowledge of strategic partnering best practices
- Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, International business and negotiating significant commercial contracts
