As the Global Communications and Marketing Manager for ABB Pulp & Paper, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing global communication and marketing strategies for our industry-leading business line. You will be responsible for enhancing the company's brand reputation, driving global marketing initiatives, and fostering effective communication with key stakeholders, customers, and internal teams. This position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, creative vision, and exceptional communication skills to deliver impactful results. This position is part of the Pulp & Paper Business Line management team, working closely with the product management team, sales, and global communications community to identify growth opportunities and integrate them into the global communications strategy.

**Your responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement the global communications and marketing strategy for ABB Pulp & Paper, aligned with the overall business objectives, division communication strategy and brand guidelines.
- Build and maintain a strong brand presence for ABB in the global pulp and paper industry, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Create compelling marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, social media, advertising, trade shows, and events, to promote ABB's products, solutions, and services for the business line.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, other business line and country teams to gather market insights, understand customer needs, and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Manage the creation and production of high-quality marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, videos, case studies, technical papers and white papers, to support sales efforts and drive customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, media outlets, and trade associations to increase brand visibility and thought leadership. Leverage media relations to secure coverage for Business Line announcements.
- Support product launches by developing comprehensive communication and marketing plans that effectively promote new products, generate awareness, and drive customer adoption in collaboration with product management and sales teams.
- Drive product / industry positioning exercises to develop messaging that helps underscore value and differentiation and resonates with target audience
- Implement digital marketing strategies to stimulate demand and generate high quality leads aligned with sales.
- Ensure effective internal communications by developing and implementing internal communication plans, including newsletters, intranet content, town halls, executive communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication and marketing activities, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve results.
- Manage a small team of communication and marketing professionals who are focused on key pulp and paper local markets, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and achievement of departmental goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for communication and marketing innovation within the pulp and paper industry.
- Own and manage the marketing budget for Business Line Pulp & Paper, and ensure budget alignment with quarterly cost tracking
**Your background**:
- 10+ years of marketing or marketing communications experience in a B2B environment (prefer technical/ industrial environment)
- Proven experience in global communications and marketing roles, preferably in the industrial sector, with a focus on B2B marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful global marketing campaigns, utilizing a variety of channels and tactics.
- Product marketing experience that includes supporting existing and new offerings
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for various audiences.
- Proficiency in digital marketing techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and marketing automation platforms.
