Accountant

**Position Overview**
- Highly skilled and motivated local accountant within our finance team.
- As a local accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, compliance with local accounting regulations, and contributing to the overall success of our company's financial operations.
- The local accountant is involved in the general accounting activities, analyses, controlling partnership and the support of effective internal controls respecting the locally accepted accounting principles, and Group Standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Accountable for closings, financial statements & tax returns.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting activities for the local entity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, tax returns and financial reporting.
- Ensure that all the reporting deadlines are met according to global closing calendar with respect to P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with AXA Group Financial standards.
- Ensure the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Participate in internal audits.
- Lead the external audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required.
- Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Team management/coordination and mentoring may be required.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with senior leadership team.
- Ad hoc projects or tasks as required.

**Your Profile** Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on local accounting practices and regulations in Switzerland
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced knowledge of MS Office tools
- Strong understanding of local tax laws, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
