**Account Manager - Switzerland**

**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Country Manager Switzerland, the **Account Manager** is quota-carrying and responsible for selling and promoting Altair simulation and digital solutions and supports services to strategic customers appropriately and effectively to demonstrate Altair’s value add proposition to customers, whilst actively developing our new business.
As part of the Altair team, you will collaborate closely with all departments to ensure an excellent customer experience with Altair. Working closely with Technical/Pre-Sales Support, as an **Account Manager** you will be capable of using your positive approach to build strong relationships and enhance Altair’s unique position in the market.
**Position is based in Zurich area**
**What You Will Do**:
- Develop effective and specific account plans to ensure revenue target delivery and sustainable growth.
- Develop relationships at any level of the organization in new and existing customers and to be able to identify strategic initiatives and successfully position Altair to be a player in their deployment
- Define a sales strategy to build sales pipeline (both long and short term) to achieve revenue targets and business objectives
- Demonstrate the value of Altair's solution by developing a long-term strategic partnership with your customers to assess their satisfaction and needs with Altair's solutions and propose adapted solutions/services
- Managing complex sales cycles and coordinating with the marketing, sales and technical international support departments to propose appropriate solutions with high added value for our customers
- Be knowledgeable about the customer, by understanding their strategy, sustainability commitments, c-level, priorities, etc. not just silo department (Engineering department within P&L or product line) and act as a main point of contact for the key customers
- Identify and understand the needs and challenges of industrial players
- Carry out competitive intelligence on your sector
- Actively participate in marketing events
**What You Will Need**:
**Basics**:
- Proven experience in managing, coordinating, and developing existing key accounts and prospects
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Results-oriented with strong strategic and analytical skills
- Used to work through a sales process and manage the customers‘ relationships through a CRM system
- Experience with solution selling
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good leadership and relational skills
- Availability to national travel
- ** **Fluent English and German is mandatory**
**Preferred**:
- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Software Sales
- Degree in Engineering
- Experience in selling CAE and simulation solutions
- MEDDIC skills or similar
