**Description**
As a key member of our team, you'll spearhead transformative advancements for the next era of Siri through pioneering innovations. Focus on modeling and training large language models and agentic reasoning as you engage in every facet of AI development-from designing intricate multi-modal foundation models to refining decision-making processes and evaluations. Your role will span the entire exhilarating product life cycle, initiating with visionary ideation and culminating in the deployment of state-of-the-art models to billions of devices. We are on the lookout for an extraordinary individual with a distinguished track record in building large-scale language models to lead and invigorate this pioneering quest.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience with building and training modern machine learning algorithms including large language models.
- Industry experience in implementing and training large language models.
- Strong programming, debugging, and design skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven industry experience in building product features based on ML.
- Strong understanding of machine learning principles and practices, with deep knowledge in generative AI models and architectures.
- Proven track record in designing, training, and optimizing large-scale language models (LLMs) and/or multi-modal foundation models.
- Experience in decision making and reinforcement learning in the context of agentic reasoning.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python, along with experience in AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Exceptional ability to tackle complex problems, analyze data, and derive insights to improve model performance and efficiency. Demonstrated creativity in approaching challenges and innovating solutions that push the boundaries of current technology.A solid history of research contributions, including publications in reputable conferences or journals related to AI and NLP.
