**Beschreibung**:
For our client at the lower Zurich Lake, a rapidly growing international pharmaceutical company with almost 10,000 employees worldwide, we are currently looking for a reliable and convincing individual as a Big Data Architect, to start immediately or by agreement.Due to the diversity, dynamics, and flexibility of our client, new challenges are part of your daily routine, making your work varied, exciting, and future-oriented.

As a Big Data Architect, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of Big Data solutions. With your expertise, you will be responsible for developing architectures and effectively handling large amounts of structured and unstructured data. Here are some of the main tasks and responsibilities:
**Activities**:

- **Development of strategies for integrating various data sources in the role of Lead Big Data Architect**:

- Ensuring the security and privacy of Big Data solutions through the implementation of appropriate security measures and data protection policies
- Identification and implementation of optimization strategies to maximize the performance of Big Data systems
- Close collaboration with other professionals such as data scientists, data engineers, and IT experts to ensure that the Big Data architecture meets business requirements
- Implementation of business requirements into technical specifications, including data flows, integrations, transformations, databases, data lakes, ML, and data warehouses
- Ensuring that the solutions demonstrate high performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reasonable reusability, and reliability during deployment
- Evaluation and selection of technologies, platforms, and tools that meet the specific requirements of the company
- Monitoring developments in the field of Big Data technologies and trends to ensure that the architecture stays up-to-date

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of five years of professional experience in data engineering with proven experience in developing data architectures and pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, as well as experience with databases and Big Data technologies
- Very good knowledge of complex data structures
- Profound knowledge of data modeling and design to optimize query performance and data processing
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good English language skills, both spoken and written, and German skills at the B1 level.
