Key Account Manager Poultry Switzerland

**Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere.**
The Key Account Manager (KAM) Poultry Switzerland (M/F/d) will play a pivotal role in supporting and retaining strategically important customers and stakeholders in the poultry sector. Reporting to the Livestock Business Unit Director in Switzerland, the KAM will build long-term, partnership-based relationships with poultry customers. Fluency in German and French is required, and English proficiency is preferred.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) Poultry Switzerland (M/F/d) is empowered to
- Support and manage strategic and high-revenue customers and stakeholders in the poultry industry
- Independently consult and sell high-quality pharmaceuticals and vaccines for poultry through direct customer contact and digital communication channels
- Take sales responsibility for the poultry portfolio
- Analyze customer needs to develop customer-specific action plans in collaboration with agricultural, veterinary, and marketing experts
- Coordinate activities with key accounts and develop strategies to achieve sales targets
- Implement, review, and continuously develop customer-specific plans
- Collaborate closely with the sales team, field technical services, and extended animal health team in Switzerland
- Communicate results and activities to customers according to company standards
- Manage day-to-day operational activities of customers, adhering to national/international business policies
- Monitor and analyze sales data internally and externally for customers
- Coordinate with the D-A-CH team
- Collaborate proactively with various functions and departments
- Adapt and update global or regional marketing materials to comply with local regulations and marketing rules
- Represent the company at conferences and industry events
- Organize, conduct, and follow up on customer training sessions and events
- Share best practices at local and global levels
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Completed agricultural or natural science education at least at the HF level, or veterinarians or senior veterinary assistants with a focus on poultry farming
- Preferably several years of experience in the poultry industry, veterinary practice, pharmaceutical industry, and/or sales, ideally in managing large customers.
- Knowledge of Key Account Management and the local poultry industry, ideally with an existing network of key stakeholders
- Strong sales and operational implementation skills
- Desire to build long-term, partnership-based, and trusting relationships with our veterinary customers in field sales and thus achieve positive sales development
- Analytical skills and an affinity for systems and numbers are advantageous
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills. Excellent listener and skillful user of the right questioning techniques. Communication with customers on an equal footing
- Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time (field-based role)
- Proficient in MS Office and digital media
- Fluent in German and French, with additional fluency in English preferred
- Valid car driver's license (Class B)
