Our client is a sucessful, dynamic Energy Trading Group with global activities.

Due to the strong growth ot the trading and shipping company in Zug / Switzerland HQ and to strenghten the Finance Team in Zug we are looking to fill a position as

**Junior Accountant**:
The Accountant manages and monitors all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment runs and daily tasks.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Continuously communicate and work in close cooperation with Head of Accounting and other colleagues on monthly/annual closings
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Perform monthly and ad hoc bank reconciliations
- Be responsible for processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Planning and administration of weekly payment runs
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Group according to IFRS and the statutory financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations
- Perform daily general ledger and sub-ledger entries in consultation/coordination with the Head of Accounting
- Assist in the regular reconciliation of IC balances including the allocation of intra-group services
- Assist with special tasks and various projects in the CFO area
- Ensure and further develop of accounting processes and the internal control system (ICS)
- Support external audits

**Your profile**
- 1-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Independent, reliable and accurate way of working
- Organised, goal-oriented and flexible
- Completed commercial and administrative qualification
- experiences with accounting standards (IFRS and Swiss Code of Obligations)
- Experience in an international organization
- Very good knowledge of German & English
- Familiar with Microsoft office tools, especially Excel
- Swiss or EU/EFTA Permit B

**Nice to have**:

- Experience in the commodity trading sector
- Knowledge of Swiss VAT
