R&d Fragrance Product Development Intern

The Fragrance Product Development team is looking for an intern who is passionate about fragrance formulation and interested in deepening the knowledge on colour measurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As our R&D Fragrance Product Development Intern you are responsible for formulating products and subsequently generating measurement data, particularly for colour stability using colorimetry instruments.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be supporting the R&D Fragrance Product Development team and technical perfumery team activity on improving our approach on testing the stability of our products and enabling us to predict colour stability using extensive data:
**Your main focus**:
Understand existing stability test procedures Discuss with the team opportunities for improvement of these procedures Jointly build an experimental plan to evaluate hypothesis Gather samples from the team and prepare formula trials to launch stability tests according to the plan Formulate products where there is a need for specific data and place on stability test. Run and/or collect stability evaluations and measurements Collate data in excel or similar to enable analysis Document the results and any conclusions in a report to potentially support an update of stability procedures Be actively part of the team and participate in the laboratory work/tasks.

The team consists of about 15 scientists and you will work closely together with several departments such as technical perfumery and the innovation team. All your colleagues are cosmetic scientists with a wide range of experience and specific expertise. Working in the team, you will be able to learn from others and they will be keen to assist you as you become on-boarded in the role. There is good collaboration and mutual participation in the team.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
You like to have a passion for science and formulation of beauty products. As R&D Fragrance Product Development Intern, you have a rigorous, solution-oriented approach, and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you have:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in chemistry, physio-chemistry or material science
Skills in laboratory formulation on bench and technical evaluation of product is highly recommended
Ability to identify and solve problem
Ability to work in an international environment
Flexibility, Responsiveness, Curiosity, Team Spirit
Passion for Beauty with a focus on the Fragrance Category
English required / French is a plus
