**R&D Material Development Leader 80-100%**:

In this position, you will contribute ideas for innovative technology developments and solutions, working to solve industrial problems. Reporting to the head of R&D, you will lead a small team, participate in material development projects, develop new material compositions, coordinate testing of newly developed materials according to industry standards. You will also participate in material approval and change request activities.

**This position reports to**:
R&D Unit Lead

**Your responsibilities**:

- Coordinate material development projects and participate in product development projects
- Supervision of internal and external approvals/certifications for newly developed and existing products
- Compliance with material regulations
- Evaluation of material additives and formulations,
- New material technology selection, process development and recommendation for new material testing equipment
- Technical support for product management, quality, and customer service
- Standards management and updating

**Your background**:

- At least 5 years of experience in Material development, as an R&D Engineer with plastic technology engineer, plastics chemist, materials scientist, or comparable training/professional experience background
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials engineering
- Sound knowledge of material formulation of plastics and additives on the extrusion and injection molding market
- Knowledge of project management
- Solution-oriented approach, strong written and spoken communication skills
- People management either in a project role and already as team lead
- Fluent German and good English skills, both in written and spoken
