Research Intern

You will:
- Contribute to research projects in AI ethics, especially around Fairness, Transparency, and Accountability- Work closely with a team of AI researchers and programmers in the U.S., Switzerland, and Japan on ambitious AI projects- Investigate new algorithms to solve fundamental AI ethics problems- Write code to support research, usually in Python, C++, and/or R- Write reports and give presentations for internal audiences- Write papers for and give presentations at academic conferences

You will have:
- Passion to develop cutting-edge AI ethics technology and deploy it through a multi-stakeholder approach-
- Experience in research on algorithmic fairness, accountability, and transparency, especially around detecting and mitigating bias in computer vision technologies, developing privacy-preserving technologies, and causal inference- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
