Scientist: Raman Spectroscopy

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a scientist (M/F/x) with a focus on method and system development in the field of Raman spectroscopy. Key responsibilities of the position include:
- New and further developments in context of our Raman systems, particularly in Raman microscopy.
- Conception and realization of innovative technologies as well as their implementation into our devices.
- Coordination with the R&D sections electronics, mechanical design, and software.
- Support in patenting procedures concerning methods and technologies developed by yourself or the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in conception and implementation of cutting-edge microscopy methods or systems (e.g. in context of R&D projects) is required.
- PhD in physics or chemistry or a related field and at least 5 years of professional experience in in Raman or fluorescence spectroscopy are required.
- Alternatively: MSc in physics or a related field; at least 10 years of professional experience in in Raman or fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Experience in acquisition, analysis, and visualization of hyper-spectral data is preferred
- Proficient in designing optical assemblies and in optical metrology.
- Knowledge in Zemax or comparable optical design software is beneficial
- Knowledge in Python or a comparable programming language is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English or German) and willing to work in an international and interdisciplinary team.
