The M&A department falls under the Head of Strategy and M&A within the CFO area. The department is responsible for group-wide M&A activities and investment management. As a member of our team, you will make a significant contribution to the development of SIX during a 6-month internship by supporting M&A projects and the management of investments. The role will be based at our Zurich or Madrid offices (depending on SIX’ Covid policies, the role could be partially remote/home-office).
**What you will do**:
- supporting the SIX M&A team in ongoing M&A projects and in the area of M&A strategy
- building of financial models, company valuations and strategic analyses
- carrying out research on market and company developments
- project management support for complex M&A projects
- preparation of presentations for internal decision-making bodies
**What you bring**:
- university or technical degree as well as higher professional education in the field of economics or industrial engineering with a focus on finance
- practical work experience in M&A/investment banking or strategy consulting desirable
- excellent MS Office skills (esp. Excel and Powerpoint)
- outstanding planning and organizational methods as well as analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, German and/or Spanish is a plus
