**Title**:
Driver

**Job Purpose**:
To collect and deliver consignments as per required timelines within Switzerland and neighboring countries within close border proximity.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Transport consignments in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable regulations
- Responsible for the assigned MARKEN vehicle which include:

- Securing of the consignments in the vehicle’s cargo area during transportation
- Interior and exterior cleaning to maintain an impeccable standard of cleanliness.
- Assuring vehicle is kept in a safe operating condition at all times by:

- Conducting of regular vehicle checks
- Adhering to the vehicle maintenance plan
- Assist clients at collection and delivery with loading and unloading.
- Route plan calculation that allow for collections and deliveries within required time lines.
- Communicate with the MARKEN Dispatch team regarding:

- Consignment Collections
- Consignment Deliveries
- Delays
- Discrepancies
- Communicate clearly and precisely with the client at collection or delivery.
- Complete all documentation accurately and legibly and pass to the correct departments on return to the office. This includes having the waybills signed by the clients.
- Follow instructions as provided.

**General**
- Partake in all training sessions set forth by MARKEN.
- Adhere to all MARKEN Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the Line Manager or Branch Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Valid Driving License and good knowledge of Swiss geography
- GDP knowledge
- Security of cargo/load knowledge and packaging specifications
- Experience in handling hazardous material
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Experience of Premium Courier and/or Freight Industry
- Driver Experience in Logistics and /or courier business
- Knowledge of temperature sensitive supply chains and pharmaceutical industry
- Fluent German and good English language skills.
