Investor Relations Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investor Relations Associate to join our growing team. This role requires a proven foundation in financial analysis, accounting, valuation, and modeling, as well as a proven understanding of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) frameworks. Prior exposure to the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is a strong plus.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and help craft Lonza’s communications with investors, analysts, and other key partners.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the preparation of investor materials including quarterly/semi-annual earnings presentations, scripts, press releases, and Q&A document
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams - including finance, legal, communications, and the Business Platforms - as well as senior management to ensure alignment and consistency in investor messaging and disclosures
- Help supervise and respond to investor inquiries, partly in coordination with other senior members of Lonza
- Assist in coordinating with ESG rating providers to collect and provide necessary data with the ultimate goal to improve Lonza’s rating performance by supporting the implementation of improvements
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, peer benchmarking, and valuation modeling to support investor messaging and positioning
- Assist in the organization of investor events, earnings calls, roadshows, and conferences
- Monitor analyst reports, shareholder feedback, market trends, and competitor activity to help inform strategic investor relations initiatives
- Maintain and update IR databases, investor targeting lists, and engagement logs.

**Key requirements**
- 1-4 years of professional experience in investor relations (preferred) or a capital markets, equity research, investment banking or corporate finance environment, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial competence, including accounting knowledge, advanced financial modeling, and valuation skills (DCF, SOTP, comps, M&A multiples).
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize sophisticated financial information for a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ESG topics and reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ) is a plus.
- Meticulous, highly organized and independent, and capable of running multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience or familiarity with the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is helpful but not required
- MBA with finance-related focus or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA or progress toward CFA/CPA a plus.
