Global Communications Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
As the External Communications Manager for ABB IEC LV Motors, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our thought leadership, engaging with trade media, and executing marketing communications’ campaigns to promote our technology and solutions. By leveraging various communication platforms and concepts, you will help increase the visibility and credibility of our products in the market. The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid This position reports to: Head of Global Communication - IEC LV Motors Division, Motion This is a one-year contract with the potential for extension. You will be mainly accountable for: - Thought Leadership & Media Relations: Establish thought leadership and maintain strong relationships with trade media to secure coverage. - Marketing Communication: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including content creation for various materials and platforms. - Event Management: Plan and manage participation in industry conferences and speaking opportunities, ensuring impactful communication strategies. - Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with internal teams to align communication strategies, ensure compliance with ABB's values and standards, and manage stakeholder relationships.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in External Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing Communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in engaging with trade media and managing thought leadership activities.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
