**Legal Counsel (M/F/d)**
Fulltime or partime (80 % to 100 %)

**WHAT IT IS ABOUT**

Being a “Legal Business Partner” - our trusted and solution oriented adviser to Unilever’s business in Switzerland.

**YOUR TASKS**:

- Provide legal advice and serve as trusted legal advisor to country leadership team and the entire business
- Demonstrate leadership on governance, risk and business integrity
- Draft, review and/or negotiate contracts and settlements
- Evaluate legal options and risks; develop appropriate strategies and advice Unilever commercial managers accordingly
- Ensure legal compliance with local law and Unilever policies (in particular competition, data protection, marketing and commercial law, excluding procurement)
- Defend and enforce Unilever product claims against third parties
- Corporate Secretary responsibility for all Swiss Unilever entities
- Employment/Social Security law advice to all Swiss UL entities
- Prevent, detect and respond on Business Integrity matters
- Initiate and/or coordinate legal proceedings
- Support European and local Brand Building Community of Practice
- Implementation of global or European master agreements into local law
- Support to management related external relationships (authorities, trade associations, lobbying activities)
- Counsel on data protection
- Provide legal training to internal stakeholders
- Manager of Swiss legal team consisting of a Legal Assistant
- Closely collaborate with other Unilever in-house lawyers in Europe and contribute to special projects in and outside of Switzerland from time to time
- Position reports to the Head of Legal for the geographic region

**WHAT YOU CONTRIBUTE**
- Fully qualified Swiss lawyer
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as an in-house lawyer
- Good understanding of commercial aspects and needs
- Experience working in FMCG industry, retail or trade is ideal, but not a necessity
- Broad general legal and extensive civil and commercial law knowledge.
- German and English fluently incl. special legal vocabulary
- Knowledge of French or Italian preferred
- High customer orientation
- Collaborative, problem-solving approach
- Ability to multi-task, take ownership and drive matters to conclusion
