Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics consulting and services company dedicated to solving complex problems of traditional industries like automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing and pharma. We work with some of the biggest organisations in Europe to solve the challenges that directly affect their business - be it operations, finance, manufacturing or R&D. **These are some examples of projects that we have been working on**
- Building a real-time production line monitoring system for the pharmaceutical industry in order to improve the throughput of the production processes for the Pharmaceutical Industry. Technologies: AWS, EKS, CloudFormation, Docker, Python
- Building system for calculating and delivering global climate scores i.e. estimating the impact of climate change on the risk of natural disasters (i.e. floods, wildfires & droughts) for the Insurance Industry. Technologies: PySpark, Python, Proprietary Data Processing Platform
- Building a modern data science platform including a data lake for Chemical Industry. Technologies: Azure, ML Studio, Data Factory, Databricks, Spark

Unit8 is looking for a Technical Engagement Lead to support our new engagements. You will be responsible for collaboration closely with our clients to help them achieve their goals. You will be representing and working with our engineering team to deliver products and solutions.

**What You’ll Do**
- **Work with the clients** to understand, decompose and help solve their problems using data engineering.
- **Maintain high-quality relationships with the key stakeholders.**:

- **Advise clients on the technical solutions** and explain different tradeoffs.
- **Implement solutions** together with an engineering team.
- **Present work to stakeholders and top management.**:

- Help scope and draft proposals for **new engagements**.

**Who You Are**
- You have a proven track record of delivering Data solutions in a production environment.
- You have a minimum 5+ years of work experience, experience in the consulting industry will be a plus.
- You have **experience in working with clients **to understand, decompose and help solve their problems and challenges
- You have expertise in one or more of the following fields: Data engineering, Data warehousing, System Architecture, Cloud architecture, Software Engineering, Data Science.
- You have hands-on programming experience with one of the following: Python, Java, C++, C#, Scala.
- Prior experience leading teams.
- You are familiar with and enjoy working in an agile environment.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
